NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) Washington & Eastside

Fighting Stigmas, Finding Solutions:
A Symposium on Mental Health in Our Community

Friday, March 4 - 5-9pm (reception & panels)
Saturday, March 5 - 9am-2pm (workshops)

We invite you to join us for a 2-day symposium to “destigmatize” mental illness and to have a frank discussion of the impacts of cutbacks in funding, while examining ways our local community can better respond to the treatment needs and recovery of individuals who suffer from severe mental illness and support their families and friends.

Issues addressed will include: access to treatment; community safety; youth and education, and the workplace.
